Splendid news for Magicians in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. There is plenty of work for everyone. There must be, as my December Calendar is full and running into January.
Some businesses like celebrating the Holidays in January. I imagine December can be too hectic for some, and availability at venues must be easier to book in January.
As for holiday-related material, I don’t use any. I don’t feel a demand or need for it. My job is to entertain with magic at a high commercial level. I am happy to make exceptions when requested by a client.
My goal with magic is fun, laughter, and amazement. The combination contributes to the successful performance. If I achieve only one of the mentioned goals, the result would be a two-dimensional performance.
I never take a job if I have the slightest hint, that I may not deliver beyond a client’s expectations. If the client shows even a minor concern, that becomes a hurdle I need to overcome. I want to work with people who already have trust in my abilities. I will never disappoint them.
In everything we do, it pays to listen. It is of utmost importance for me to understand my client’s vision, and I can only get this by listening. I will contribute my thoughts, it is a discussion, but it is about you, not me.
If you are an event planner, we are both listeners, as you represent your client. We must work together as a team to ensure that we deliver to our mutual clients. When I succeed, you will get the credit. Which you deserve, as it was your mission to bring the best entertainment for the event.
